For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be
on his shoulders.>
And he will be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

                                                        Isaiah 9:6 NIV

Christmas is the time when the splendor of heaven comes to us anew. The heavenly Child, our Lord Jesus, has brought heaven down to earth. He, the Prince of Peace, has opened once more the gates of paradise. We can be citizens of heaven. Who would not want to be a citizen of the kingdom of Jesus whose reign is love? On His shoulders the dominion was laid while He was still a child.

The Baby lying in a feeding trough for animals is the ruler of all worlds. His heart overflows with love and goodness, and He always desires to help us in our troubles, never letting us be tempted beyond our strength.

Come, let us adore and worship this King and Ruler. We want to belong to His kingdom. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is calling to everyone, “Come to Me, all you who are suffering because of the evil in this world. Come to Me, all you whose hearts are burdened and you will find peace. My heart is wide open to give you all the peace, joy and love that you long for. Pour out your hearts to Me. Tell Me about your troubles. I understand you and will bring you help.” All we need to do is let go of everything that is keeping us from Him and bring Him our sins, the things we have done wrong in our lives. He died on the cross to bring us release. When the hindrances have been dealt with, then the way to Him is free. From His heart will flow a stream of love, immersing and refreshing us, so that we can approach the future with confidence. Let us bring Him our love, thanks and worship this Christmas.

If in your heart this Child you cherish,
All cares and fears and grief will vanish.
Peace will then your heart enthrall,
Brought by the Prince of Peace so small.
