We were blessed to have Rabbi Jeremy Gimpel speak to our Motherhouse Sisters and friends on Kanaan August 4, 2024 for ‘Israel Sunday.’ ‘Israel Sunday’ is a long- standing tradition for churches in Germany. In the annual liturgy, on the 10th Sunday after Trinity, since the early decades of the Reformation, churches underline God’s eternal faithfulness to the people of Israel. Tish B’Av, also known as the 9th of AV on the Hebrew calendar, is the day Jewish people commemorate the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem. (August 12-13, 2024)
