A THANKSGIVING
GREETING FOR YOU!
“I am the vine; you are the branches.
If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit;
apart from Me you can do nothing.”

In this time of Thanksgiving we want to greet you with some words from Mother Basilea, our founder: “What counts is not our gifts, nor the magnitude of our task, but the zeal, love and devotion with which we do our work. Those who serve God with wholehearted dedication will be highly honored by Him. And in heaven they will see the fruits of their labors.
“The more our lives are marked by sacrifices, the more fruitful they will be. Love never tires or gives up, even when faced with setbacks and difficulties. Like Christ you are laying down your life for the sake of your brother or sister… For such acts of love you will be blessed and repaid a hundredfold. God never disappoints those who place their trust in Him. A father finds his trusting child irresistible. The same goes for our heavenly Father.
Even on the darkest of days God is waiting for you to trust His love, which lies behind everything. At such times promises like ‘I will never fail you nor forsake you’ (Hebrews 13:5 RSV) shine the brightest – like stars in the night. Gaze at these stars, cling to His promises in faith, and you will emerge from the dark days victorious, having stood the test. Indeed God rewards our trust with His help here on earth, and with crowns and thrones in His kingdom above.”
